Facing the Truth
做什么在这段艰难的日子呢?还有什么,但面对真相。不要认为你仍能赶上你的积压吗?约你的老板会面,告诉他你的情况到底有多紧急。告诉他你如何变得如此这般。
It s okay to accumulate backlogs. Especially in the recruitment in Singapore work world, people receive so many tasks that they encounter difficulties when it comes to the act of catching up. Indeed, there are times in our career lives when time doesn t seem too eager to help us out with our task problems. No cv tips can help us out; heck, many of us can t even afford to read career articles if only because our schedules are too clogged. What to do during these tough times? What else, but to face the truth and just be honest about your situation. Don t think that you can still catch up on your backlogs? Set a meeting with your boss and tell him exactly how tight your situation is. Tell him how exactly you became so stuck. Most likely, he will understand. Perhaps, he ll give you the option to do just half of the backlogs. You re blessed. Maybe, he ll give you a vacation too, so you can get things in your life back on track. You re more than blessed. If in case he doesn t, be ready to face the consequences of your inaction (after all, it was your fault that you accumulated these backlogs). Be prepared to face tremendous stress. However, do everything possible to motivate yourself to continue on the task. With stress, comes the desire to quit. If you quit, you ll only put yourself in a much difficult situation later on. Can you handle losing your job? Remember: Once is okay, twice is no longer acceptable. If you love your job (or you envision yourself climbing the corporate ladder in this company), do whatever it takes to finish these back jobs of yours. It won t be easy, but with motivation? Well, nothing s impossible. Of course, your goal afterwards (after you finished your backlogs) is to get yourself familiarized with the best practices of task management. This is so you won t accumulate anymore backlogs. Make the best reset by fixing your schedule in such a way that there will be elements of motivation for you throughout the week. Pick all 5 of your most favourite tasks and have them scattered all throughout the week. Set your most favourite on a Monday, for instance. This way, you will have something to look forward to doing every day and won t slack off. More suggestions? It s all about being motivated. Face the truth. No matter what motivates you (we won t even bug you into spilling what this thing is), view/do/practice it before you go to work. Only you can bring your career to the highest possible summit. Go ahead! Actually, career building and job hunting is not just about defining goals and impressing big bosses. Rather, it s also about being faithful to the truth all the time and not giving yourself more troubles. Have something to share with regards to this career topic?
