Solutions to Job Search Blues
你开始觉得你的运气为求职者是不存在的吗？你采访了几个星期了吧？或者，你只是在考虑阶段，一个不断失败后的面试阶段？
Are you starting to think that your luck as a jobseeker is non-existent? Have you been interview-less for a few weeks now? Or are you just a constant failure in the consideration stage, right after the interview phase? Perhaps, you ve also already received several criticisms on your resume from certain recruiters? No matter your career problems, you should stop thinking that you re nothing but a worthless career success seeker because that s not true. What you are is just a misguided jobseeker. We hope to pull you out of your rut and get you going again. This next time, you are unafraid about anything and you are not hesitant to push yourself to the edge. 1) Recruiters don t seem to like your resume you are not getting enough interview invites for some reason. The verdict: You are probably not paying attention to the editing needs of your resume. In this day and age, template resumes are no longer acceptable. You must treat each of your applications as special. Therefore, these applications deserve a resume that s been written and re-written in the best way possible in terms of showing off your credentials. 2) You are not getting any callbacks. The verdict: You are probably failing your interviews and exams. The only way to remedy this is to stop taking all your interview invitations for granted and start reviewing/preparing for each and every one of them. Not sure what to do? Go online and read cv tips/ career articles. Don t be afraid. You are not pushing yourself hard enough as well. Perhaps, it s time that you start sending thank you notes to your past recruiters/interviewers. There won t be any serious consequences about doing this at all everybody else in the recruitment in Singapore world is doing it except you, in fact. 3) You are too shy and can t attend networking parties and similar events. The verdict: Don t be afraid to attend networking events because nothing s really to be nervous about the prospect at all. You will just meet new people. You will just need to talk and be friendly with a select number of people. If it helps, think of all the benefits: Being able to tap the hidden jobs market is just one. 4) You are not motivated enough. The verdict: Now is exactly the time to have yourself surrounded by family and friends. You need their support to be able to keep on moving despite the many challenges posted by the volatile job market. Support from loved ones, as a matter of fact, is a very effective shield against career doubts and all those sorts of depression brought forth by career problems. We know that there are many job search blues. We can only hope that this article has already opened your eyes on how you should act/react to certain job search/ career problems.
