In January, LinkedIn filed a 17 page complaint targeting unknown defendants in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. This move was designed explicitly to force Amazon Web Services to discover, under subpoena, exactly which IP address was associated with the payment records and/or the ISPs connected to those addresses.
